Residence Seitzstraße

The revitalization of the commercial property at Seitzstraße 16, will create new residential space in the popular Munich district of Lehel. The proximity to the English Garden and Hofgarten is identity-forming for the location.

The challenging existing structure of the two postmodern building sections from 1988 was carefully dismantled in parts so as not to impair the remaining uses. Restructuring and extensions have created living space that is structurally integrated into the existing building.

Balconies, loggias and green facade elements break up the monolithic effect of the existing buildings and create a harmonious overall picture with the neighboring buildings. The hitherto characteristic steel skeleton building undergoes a fundamental transformation into a valuable urban building block.
